At the end of July 2018, all RTG powered online casinos were full of blinking banners announcing the imminent launch of the new game Banana Jones!
I have received at least a dozen of emails from some of the RTG casinos I’m registered with offering me all kind of bonuses and free spins valid for the new slot (or game) so I have decided to accept the Jackpot Capital offer that gave me $25 free, that I could use for playing Banana Jones only!
Usually I do not take no deposits for trying new slots and always play with real money (no bonus involved).
The reason? Mainly because the first time I play a newly released slot it serves for actually testing the game, discover all its features and write a honest review based on my own experience.
Banana Jones – Why the most stupid online casino game?
After more than 15 years of playing online, I am 100% sure that this one is the most stupid casino game I have ever tried, especially with today’s technology.
After all that promotional material announcing the new release, I was very impatient to test this new slot machine. And when the game was finally out, I took the Jackpot Capital’s offer and jump right on it but…
My disappointment was proportional with the magnitude of the promotional campaigns made by all RTG online casinos.
As son as I launched Banana Jones, I saw that I was dealing with a Snake and Ladders like game but at the same time I was impressed by the game graphics and sounds.
I choose to bet $1 on my first hand and roll the dices. It took less than a minute to realize that I was playing real $ on a game suited for my 5 year old kid.
Other then stupid, the game is also boring and does not offer any real chances to win big even if you bet the maximum allowed ($5).
Plus, be careful because Banana Jones may cause you rage attacks, especially when you place a $5 bet, roll the dices, catch one of the bonus features am and make a “Heroic Win” of $0.50 (look at the screenshots below to see what I mean).
WTF, I understand the low winning but the “Heroic Win” and all the coins flying on my monitor for 50 cents made me very angry.
I have continued playing, hoping that my first Banana Jones experience will get better but after 30 minutes, I choose to throw the towel and never play this stupid game again.

Banana Jones Available Bets
While playing Banana Jones you can bet from as low as $0.20 up to a maximum of $5 for every game round. $0.50, $1 and $2 bets are also available.
Banana Jones Overview
This is what you see when you access the game. Banana Jones (the character) will try to reach the temple so you can throw the dices and hope for the best. The snakes will get you down and the wines will get you up, giving you more chances to conquer the temple.
There are also two dices that you can land on and in this case you can throw the dice one more time.
Banana Jones Totem Feature
Along the way to the temple, there are 7 totems that will launch the Totem Bonus Feature once you land on them. A wheel of fortune will launch and you will have the chance to multiply your bet by 0.1, 0.2, 0.5, 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 or 50 times.
Unfortunately during my test I was not able to win more than x2 but if you think about the winnings can be very low compared to the bet. For example, if you bet $5, the maximum you can win is $250. It is a very low maximum considered that there are 100’s of other slot machines out there that can make you win the same amount with $0.10 or $0.20 bet.
Banana Jones – Crystal Banana Quest
Once you’ll reach the temple, a new bonus feature will start. 16 chest will appear and you must pick the ones that you want to, until you matchr 3 crystals of the same type.
During this bonus feature you can win from a minimum that equals your bet size and up to $125 if you bet $5. Please understand my frustration of finding out that I must bet $5 and all I can win is 125!
And by the way, the maximum I won during the Crystal Banana Quest feature was $40 (with $5 bet).
Now, that was my personal experience with Banana Jones but this doesn’t mean that the game is really bad.
